  • Yes, yes, yes. I have equipment, public and professional liability insurance.

At a minimum, photographers will need equipment insurance to cover any theft or damage to their equipment.

Liability insurance is especially critical for photographers working in sensitive specializations (i.e. weddings!) This insurance works as an umbrella to provide protection against legal actions arising from injuries, accidents and other claims.

Additionally, when shooting in a variety of venues, proof of insurance may be required. Besides potential legal requirements, having insurance minimizes the risks that are associated with potential liabilities, losses, and unfortunate events.

  • I request a £250 non refundable booking fee to secure your booking. The remaining / balance payment is due 6 weeks before your wedding.

I understand weddings can be expensive and suppliers generally ask for balance payments around the same time so if you wanted to pay in full or use a payment plan just let me know.

  • It's important that your photographer has ways to reach out to back up photographers should the worst happen and they not be able to attend your day.

I’m a member of several networks who cover photographers in case of emergencies so I have confidence that I would be able to find someone to cover. • I do. I carry two camera bodies around with me and multiple lenses which cover the range I need twice over. I carry enough batteries to last me a week and memory cards to shoot 5 weddings! It’s always a recurring dream (actually nightmare!!) of mine that my batteries run out or my memory cards become full.

  • It depends on the amount of coverage you have booked and whether you have chosen to add a second photographer with your package. Generally, for an 9 hour wedding you will receive roughly 700 images.

  • Yes. Snapdragon Photography is owned and run by me only so everything you see is my work. Second shooters are available if you wish to have one on your day. See below my advice on second shooters.

  • IIt depends what time of year you are having your wedding. In peak wedding season it can take 8-12 weeks to receive your full set of edits. I always aim to give you a little preview beforehand so you are able to have a little taste and sort out any thank you cards etc.

  • I do and I would encourage them! They’re a great way to get to know your photographer so you feel a bit more relaxed on your wedding day.

It also gives you guys chance to practice being in front of the camera and let you photographer know if there are any kinds of images you don’t like from the shoot. i.e. do you have a favourite side, is there a part of you that you are self conscious about, do you not like PDA...

I booked one for me and my husband before our wedding and I’m really glad I did. Not only did I feel more comfortable on my wedding day having met our photographer beforehand but we got to know the way he shoots so it felt more natural.

If you fancy adding one to your package let me know and we can get this booked in!

  • Definitely. It’s part of the process when you book with me as I’m sure it is with other photographers too. I arrange a pre wedding consultation with you both a couple of months before your wedding. Hopefully by this point you should have all of your timings of the day planned and we can run through it together and decide when is best to do your photos. We also discuss if there are any photos in particular you would like and if Auntie Doris is still in a mood with your second cousin Betty. We will do this via a video chat (a positive outcome from Covid times!)

It’s also a nice informal way to get to know each other a bit better!

  • Second photographers are ideal for weddings where there are more than 100 guests to ensure more consistent coverage of wedding guests is achieved. It's also useful to add a photographer when multiple locations are involved.

If you would like to book an additional photographer with your package just let me know!

  • I always find this a bit of a weird one! Some photographers write this into their contracts that they should be fed but others don’t. I’m one of the latter. If I’m offered a meal I will quite happily accept but I’m more than happy to bring my own food. I’ve been there myself and I know how expensive weddings can be – especially when it comes to the food! So if you would like to offer a meal – thank you very much! It is very much appreciated :) but don’t feel as though you have to provide the same as what you’re having during the wedding breakfast, a smaller meal will be absolutely fine!

  • Absolutely, just get in touch, I would be more than happy to do this for you!
